Lois Corinne Perkiss passed away peacefully at her home on March 1st, 2020 at the age of 90, after a short illness.She was born on July 21st, 1929 in San Diego, CA. As a young girl, the family moved to El Cajon, CA., where she graduated from Grossmont High School in 1947. She spent the majority of her life as a resident of El Cajon. In her early adult life, she worked as a home maker and later as a receptionist for several medical offices.
Mrs. Perkiss is survived by her brother (Robert), daughter (Janice) and two sons (Bruce and Dennis), six grand children (Bryan, Brin, Jeffrey, Jenna, Jerrica) as well as six great-grand children (Bentley, Brayden, Dakota, Emily, Kaeli, Molly, Paige).
Lois was preceded in death by her parents (Ray and Christine), son (Craig), sister (Madeline) and her beloved husband of 41 years (Paul).
Lois and Paul enjoyed traveling with the Wandering Elks RV Club, and also enjoyed cross-country RV trips. In the past year, she made 3 RV trips with her daughter to Oregon, Idaho, and northern California, as well as several local trips. Lois and Paul also enjoyed going on cruises with friends and had traveled to Alaska and through the Panama Canal twice.
Mrs. Perkiss was active with the Elkonettes group from El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812 and was a past president of Elkonettes.
Lois Perkiss was a very loving and caring person who had many friends and was very proud of her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life is being planned by the family.
