Sister was married to Benjamin D. Romero Jr. for over 75 years and together they had five children, 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she was always there to support and guide them through life's ups and downs.

Sister worked for for countless years on the Tribes Enrollment Committee, served numerous terms as a Council Member, and served as Chairwoman from 1976-1980. Sisters passion for her people and Tribes success was evident in everything she did, and her legacy will continue to inspire future generations of Tribal leaders. She was instrumental to bringing high stakes Bingo to our reservation, which has evolved into the Gaming Industry in CA we all know today.
