Delores J. Wood, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in her home in El Cajon, California. From her birth in Springfield, Illinois on January 21, 1935 to her final days she nourished those around her with care, affection and concern. She was the second child of Raymond and Martha Terrell and the sister of Judge Raymond Terrell Jr.. In 1965, Delores moved to San Diego, California where she met, fell in love and married Frank L. Wood on April 16, 1967. Together, they had two children, Cindee and Brian Wood. Beyond her career as an accountant in mortgage banking, she spent much of her time pursuing her true passion: helping those in need. To know Dee was to know selflessness and the courage to be of service to others. Her concern for strangers, her family and her friends struck everyone she encountered as authentic and as a source of strength for their own journeys through life. With unbounded grace, she touched the lives of many and will no doubt be greatly missed by all who knew her.
