David Moeller left this earth after 72 years while he was out doing something he loved. He enjoyed running the hills in our neighborhood, because it was a challenge that he took on with joyous passion. While running on June 29, 2022, he made a misstep and sustained a fatal brain injury that took him away far too soon from those of us who loved and admired him. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria (Fredrickson) Moeller, his daughter, Heather (Moeller)Taft, his granddaughters Lily and Elyse Taft, and his brother, Mark Moeller. In addition, he was very close to his sisters-in-law, his brother-in-law, his many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. He never waivered from his devotion to family. It brought him great fulfillment to be with those he loved. Commitment to family, personal growth and physical fitness inspired people he interacted with. His infectious, kind manner, and ability to talk to anyone about everything, and his powerful listening skills created the space for people to share their innermost thoughts with him. Dave’s warmth, playfulness, and unrelenting ability to see the opportunity in adversity will be greatly missed.
