Mrs. Yu-Ho Lo passed away in Edmonton, Alberta, on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the age of 92 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Peter (Terry) Lo of Edmonton, Paul (Paula) Lo of Hong Kong, Sr. Germana (nee Margaret) of Macau, Teresa (Kwok Yu) Cheung of Hong Kong and James (Susan) Lo of Edmonton; eight grandchildren, Nomie (Robin) Park, Michael (Eliza) Lo, Patrick Lo, Francisca (Takuya) Miura, Janvier (Billy) Lui, Augustine Cheung, Timothy Lo and Kimberley Lo; three great grandchildren, Ethan Lo, Oliver Lo, Isabella Lo and Alena Lui; as well as three siblings, Cheung Hang Chiu, Cheung Kam Chai and Cheung Fookan.
Mrs. Lo was born in Hoi Ping China and later immigrated to Hong Kong in 1956, before moving to Canada in 1977, where she has resided until her passing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her greatest joy.
Prayers will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403-St. Albert Trail, on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Help of Christians Chinese Catholic Church, on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made directly to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and N.W.T; Miller Crossing Care Center (c/o Dementia Unit/ Resident Council), or Mary Help of Christians Chinese Catholic Church.

「剛毅和尊嚴是她的服飾,一念及將來便笑容滿面。」(箴31:25)
用舊約箴言書卷的這二十個字來形容母親是最貼切不過了。她憑著信德、剛毅和尊嚴,背著自已的十字架,含辛茹苦地帶大年齡相距十二載的五個子女。
經歷戰火、政治勞改、避難逃亡、病苦和子女離散等,口中從沒半句怨言,只求天主賜她力量繼續向前。
勤理家務、知慳識儉、耐心訓誨子孫、賙濟貧苦等美德,她為我們立了好榜樣。
母親在此塵世已超額完成任務,她安慰我們說:
「在我一生歲月裹,幸福與慈愛常隨不離;
我將住在上主的殿裹,直至悠遠的時日。」(詠23:6)
