It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter (Wally) Deptuck. Just a few days short of his 87th birthday. Wally passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of October 16th, 2022.
Wally was born on the family farm just outside of Saskatoon, SK on October 19th, 1935, to Steve and Helen Deptuck. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. Wally was a man always willing to help and was always there for you if you ever needed a hand.
Wally will be lovingly remembered by his 3 children: Patti (Denis), Larry (Carolynn), Shelley (Brian). His 4 grandchildren: Natasha, Brent, Steven, Larissa, and 1 great grandson: Maddoc. Brothers: Ted, Joe, Don, Dave and Sisters: Peggy, Darlene, Pat. Wally is predeceased by his wife Pauline (Polly), granddaughter Breanna Deptuck, parents Steve and Helen Deptuck, In-Law parents Joseph and Pauline Daffner, Sister Anne Woytowich, and 2 brothers John and Raymond Deptuck.
A Memorial Service will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail Edmonton, AB on October 27th, 2022, at 11:00 am to celebrate Wally’s life. Following the service there will be a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery where Wally will be placed to rest with predeceased wife Polly.
Memorial donations may be made in Walter (Wally) Deptuck name to the Charity of your choice or to Youville Home at covenant foundation: www.covenantfoundation.ca where Wally spent the last 8 months of his life. We are so grateful for the outstanding care that he received during his time there.
