Dear Trudy, Randy, and Family,

I am very sorry to hear of Bob's passing.  It was a privilege to work for three years with a wonderful man of great professionalism, caring, and who had a sense of fun.  I will always remember him with a smile on his face and a bounce in his step.   

Our sincerest sympathies to you and your family.

Trudy Randy Marina and sons, my sincere sympathy in the passing of an outstanding man. Bob hired me at Westview School. He treated entire staff and students as if we were his family. He would scold staff members if we were not dressed in warm outer wear for recess supervision as one example.  Praise humour encouragement were but a few of his many  daily attributes. Bob has left all who knew him with a multitude of fond memories and life lessons.I cherish several treasured photos of the precious years with him at Westview.

Trudy, so sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. Marion and I offer our deepest condolences.
I have many fond memories of Bob as we served the Fort McMurray Masonic Lodge No. 195 of which Bob served as Worshipful Master in 1980/81. You were both truly missed when you relocated to Edmonton.

Jane and I would like to pass on our condolences and warm thoughts with the passing of Bob.  We have nothing but fond memories of Bob and the Crow family.  Working with Bob at Dr. Clark School was a true privilege; he was a tremendous educator, mentor and friend.  Bob's gentle nature and great sense of humor blended so nicely with the dignity and zest he lived his life with.

Dear Trudy,

Alexis and I offer you our sincere condolences upon the loss of your dear husband Bob. It is sad to see Bob go, but you can still cherish the good times and fond memories from the long life you had together.

I only knew Bob for about the last 3 years. Our initial introduction  occurred during one of my daily walks that take me past Bob & Trudy's house. Bob's house has a small veranda at the front door where he sat in a chair and greeted his neighbors. When someone was passing by Bob's house, a voice would suddenly fill the air providing a greeting, good morning or good afternoon from Bob with the expectation that the neighbor would stop for a visit. Indeed, this is how I first met Bob some 3 years ago. On some warm sunny Alberta summer days, there were occasions where I visited Bob once during my morning walk and again during my afternoon walk. During these visits, we had discussions about politics, government policy, and sports. Bob grew up in southern Alberta and was a dedicated Calgary fan. When Calgary beat Edmonton in football, hockey or whatever, Bob had an especially proud smile on his face savoring Calgary wins.

Bob often spoke of his teacher days and the times he flew an airplane. During his journey through life, Bob developed many  long-lasting friendships. Bob and I had a good friendship. At the end of every visit we had, Bob always thanked me for stopping by and would shake my hand saying good-bye "Partner". This is what friendship is all about. Trudy, I hope that you will continue Bob's tradition and neighborly greeting from the chair in your veranda in the future as we would like to know how you are doing.

My condolences on the loss of your husband Bob. I did not know him well but I thought of him as an important part of the Ft. McMurray teachers' group. My sincere sympathy.

I am so sad to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was my mentor as a school administrator in McMurray and the entire family became great friends. Channing and Alexandria especially remember the acreage at OK Falls and the kittens in the barn. Bob was one of those special souls who had time for everyone and a kind word when you especially needed them. He will not be forgotten. My sympathies are with you. Take comfort in the many great memories that were made.

I was blessed to work with Bob at both Westview and Timberlea. He was a tremendous man who was compassionate and caring. He was such an incredible mentor Bob touched many live-students, parents and colleagues.I will always treasure the time we spent over coffee.My condolences to Trudy and family.

I was so sorry to hear that Bob had passed away. He was one of Eugene's best friends. Eugene said that Bob was one of the smartest people he had known. I know he really treasured the collaboration they shared with Community Schools and the friendship they shared until the time of Eugene's death. Trudy you have some difficult times ahead so lean on the support of your friends and family. It does get easier with time.

Bob taught me so much during my first years as a beginning teacher at Westview School.  He always had time for the people that were part of the Westview community.  He knew that sitting together and having a coffee was the way to solve the day's problems.  He touched the lives of the many staff, students and parents who were privileged to work with him.  
Trudy and Randy, I hope you find comfort in the wonderful memories of Bob.  My sympathies .

Trudy and Randy. It is with great sadness that I learned of Bob's passing. Although I didn't spend lots of time with Bob, whenever I did I always enjoyed his company and intelligent conversation.
He will be greatly missed.

I remember attending Christmas concerts at Westview when Bob was principal. He dressed in a tux to MC, made everyone welcome, and presented red roses to his music teacher to thank her. He was a class act.

Trudy, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. I am sure it  will be difficult for you, Randy and his family to imagine your days without Bob.  He was loved by so many teachers, students, friends and co-workers who I know will surround you with love and support.  We all have wonderful memories of his humour, dedication and support of us.  I hope they have chocolate in heaven and he is allowed as much as he wants.

My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr.Crow. He was a kind, gentle man that always had a smile and encouraging word to all of his students. Mr.Crow was my principal at Westview School what seems like a lifetime ago and impacted me all these years. He will be missed but thought of often xo

over these many years. Bob's tenacity, integrity, sense of humour etc. have been a inspiration. Will truly miss him, his e-mails, telephone conversations and visits but not his  uncomplaining suffering!

We have so many wonderful memories of Bob. Years ago during Bob's schooling, he lived with his Grandmother in Barons and he loved his Grandmother dearly.  We remember his love of animals; when he boarded horses on their acreage in B.C... he would call the horses and they would come running. Bob's love for family and friends was of utmost importance to him.  He was always so good at keeping in touch... we looked forward to his phone calls and emails... and our visits when Bob & Trudy would stop in .... we would have the coffee on and the sugar nearby! 

Regrettably, we are unable to attend the funeral service, however, we will be thinking of everyone and send our heartfelt condolences to Trudy and Randy.  Rest in peace Bob, we will miss you dearly.

We will always cherish the fond memories of our times with Bob; at work and at play. He contributed immensely to the quality of education in Fort McMurray schools. His honesty, humility, and integrity were loved and appreciated by all who were fortunate enough to be fellow travellers. Our sincerest condolences to Trudy, Randy and extended family members.

Bob was my cousin and a true family man.... he always remembered birthdays and family contact was very important to him.  He had an amazing knowledgeable and sharp mind.  He endured a lot of health issues over the years with his loving wife Trudy at his side.  He will be sorely missed.  Sending heartfelt condolences to Trudy and Randy.  Rest in peace Bob... I will remember you always.
