Robert Neil Atchison

It is with great sorrow that the family of Bob Atchison announces the loss of their beloved husband, father and grandfather who passed away peacefully on July 30, 2010, at the age of 78 years with his family by his side.

Bob leaves loving memories with his family, wife of 57 years Margaret, four children, Debra Senger (Larry Martin) of Sturgeon County, Robert of Dallas Texas, Bryan ( Maggie) of Aberdeen ,Scotland, Heather of Edmonton; Grandchildren, Jonathan and Daniel of Edmonton, Jessica, Bobby and Ryan of Dallas ,Texas, two sisters, one brother and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Nelson in 1982, mother Jean in 1943 and brother Allan in 2000.

Bob's first job was with the C.N. Railway for 18 years. He then worked overseas for 24 years in the offshore oil industry. Bob retired in 1990 and returned to Edmonton, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Rocky Mountains, his log cabin in Cadomin, his garden and his faithful dogs.

A funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403-St. Albert Trail, on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Northern Light’s Cemetery.
