Mary was born in Hull, England on October 2, 1930. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Daubney. Together with their children, the couple immigrated to Canada in 1967, spending time in Fort St John and Fort McMurray before finally settling in Edmonton.
Mary and Dick celebrated their fiftieth anniversary one month prior to Dick’s passing in 2000. Mary was also predeceased by her son Michael, son-in-law Stephen and infant granddaughter Megan. She is survived by her daughter Margaret, granddaughter Carolyn, grandson Rob, his wife Tamara, and her great grandsons Reighn and Charlie.
Mary was well known for her mischievous tendencies, and her family will cherish the memory of the twinkle she’d get in her eye whenever she had successfully pulled someone’s leg.
The family would like to thank the Youville St. Albert for their excellent care of Mary over the last 13 years.
At Mary’s request there will be no service. She will be interred with her husband Richard later in the year.
