I’m so sorry to hear of Lawrence’s passing. I had the privilege of meeting  Lawrence as a new nurse on 5west at the Mis where he worked. He was so much fun to work with and he showed so much love and compassion to all his patients and colleagues.  We certainly shared many laughs with all the pranks he played on the staff (especially the nursing students on night shift)! I will miss his smiling face and sense of humour. I wish I would’ve been able to see and hug him one last time.,
He has certainly left a warm imprint on our hearts. What a special man and loss to all who had the honour of knowing him.

My heartfelt condolences to Lawrence’s family. Lawrence was the light of 5 West where I worked with him in the 80’s. He loved his family, and he shared many stories over the years of their antics and his love of being their uncle.  Lawrence joined me in the OR and we enjoyed many shifts working together. I will miss you, my friend.

I am so sorry I can’t be with you all today but my thoughts and prayers are with each one of you.

Sincere Condolences. My memories date back to the 70's when I lived in Edmonton. Lawrence was a room mate. He also was a grooms man at my wedding. When we passed through Edmonton we always connected. He was "Uncle" Lawrence to my children. Andrea and Ryan have fond memories of him. He was a terrific person. Wishing you peace during this difficult time.

The best brother from another mother I ever had the privilege of knowing. I am going to miss walking, singing, puzzling, laughing, eating, garage sales, pranking, gardening, visiting neighbors, and especially hitting the Dairy Queen all summer long. There’s a big hole in my heart. 🥰

I met 'Uncle' Lawrence and Anne on Mother's Day of this year. I was going to take their picture for Carrie since she wasn't here and Lawrence told me to get in the picture. Only met them this once and instantly I felt a bond and could tell he was an amazing person. Loved his Mango. Showed me the eggs. My condolences to my good friend Carrie and her family. Lawrence's legacy will live on with you all.

Lawrence was such a fun loving person, He would give the shirt off his back for anybody. I will surely miss all our fun times. I pray God’s love and comfort to all the family. Dear Auntie Anne and family   
We are very sorry for your loss,  Family was always so important to Lawrence. A very gentle caring person who always  truly  cared about everyone else around him.  Lawrence and I often exchanged Nursing stories and  we shared a lot of laughs and serious conversation.  Lawrence touched our lives deeply and  we will never forget him.   Lawrence always shared family pictures with us and we will hold those close. Rest in peace cousin. We sure that Darrell's dad is waiting with open arms!

It was so nice to reconnect with Lawrence after nearly 40 years to find out shortly after that he was going to be facing a difficult battle ahead.  He is more than a colleague, he is a  a very special friend, a fun loving and kind gentleman.  He shared and appreciated the precious time he spent with his family over the last 6 months. I am so sorry to hear such sad news  . Lawrence was a dear friend and co worker who was so missed after he retired . He made us all laugh until we cried. Lawrence was so much fun to work with. He genuinely took interest in people and cared deeply for his patients. He was especially fond of the elderly and took great care to see to that all their needs were met especially the smallest details most overlooked.

Anne, my heart ❤️ hurts for you and your family.  I knew Lawrence when we were kids, then time went on and life did too.  I recently reconnected with Lawrence. Whether it was hiding in a laundry basket during report, jumping out of the tub, hiding in a patient closet or laying in the top of the linen cart he always kept us on our toes and in stitches. 
He was always so kind to his patients and generous to the nurses. Always willing to help out and made every shift fun fun fun.

It is impossible to count how many lives Lawrence touched; his loyal legion of friends, co-workers, total strangers who came under his care at the Mis, and even lost animals who were lucky enough to stray into his orbit. Where ever Lawrence was, you knew that though fun was lurking nearby, he had a big heart and a shoulder to cry on anytime one was needed.  My deepest condolences to the family. I cannot tell you how many times Lawrence spoke of you over the years, always with love, care and concern, and pride. I hope it brings you some comfort to know that Lawrence truly made a difference to so many. Thank you for sharing him with us.

“Uncle Lawrence” as I always called him, even though he wasn’t my blood uncle, always treated me with such kindness. We always loved chatting about photography when we spent time together; shared passion between us. 

I hope all of his loved ones are finding comfort during this difficult time through all their fond memories with him.
