David's story started in Malaysia. After secondary school, he attended university in the UK. He met the love of his life at his brother's wedding in Canada. David believed in hard-work and was a kind and loving man. His strong family values always let his family know that they were loved and that he was there to support and guide them.
He was an avid cyclist most of his adult life. His lust to see and experience the wonders of the world was unmatched; he found peace in the towering strength of the Rocky Mountains. He was a life-long learner, wanted to share his knowledge with others, and applied his learnings by solving problems with ease. He was very democratic when it came to food and drink but it had to be good. He loved to shop and more importantly find a deal. But nothing made David's life more fulfilling than spending endless time with his grandchildren playing checkers or snakes and ladders, collecting Pokémon cards, watching documentaries, and sneaking chocolates.
David leaves behind his loving wife, son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his siblings, nieces and nephews, and close friends.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday August 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hainstock’s Funeral Home & Crematorium (9810-34 Avenue NW Edmonton, AB, T6E 6L1). A visitation will be held on Saturday August 21, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
May he peddle into the sunset with the peloton guided by his legacy.
