Joshua was born April 2nd 1984 in Edmonton Alberta, beloved son of Barbara and Bradford Gerrand. Joshua lived his life to it's fullest but suffered his last days with cirrhosis of the liver.
Joshua was a successful business man, managed his own company as an independent contractor. He promoted environmental green technology with concrete materials always working for a more sustainable future.
In his professional training he received a certificate in millwork and carpentry from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Joshua enjoyed many hobbies, he was an avid musician, bass guitarist, was in a band and received banners from competitions. He enjoyed traveling. Joshua visited many destinations, Hawaii, Bahamas, Miami, USA, Mexico, Iceland and he went to a trade convention in Austria.
Most of all Joshua was an avid sports fan. He loved his Oilers hockey team and game season was his passion. Edmonton Elks were his favorite football team. He also enjoyed golf, baseball games, and curling.
Joshua enjoyed yearly vacations to Alberta mountain country for skiing, hiking, golfing, rafting and hot tubbing.
Joshua is predeceased by his Grandfathers, Stephen Abrametz and Symington Gerrand. His Grandmothers, Anne Abrametz and Shirley Gerrand. Great Grandmothers, Rose Thorkelson and Winnie Norrie. Great Uncles, Graham Thorkelson and Brian Thorkelson. Great Aunts, Victoria Patrick, Kay Fleck, Irene Miazga, Becky Legget, Frankie Harms, and Anne Beck. Cousin, Robert Shewchuk. Great Uncles, William Beck, Nestor Beck, Uncle Ray Abrametz, John Abrametz, and Iris Beck.
Joshua leaves to celebrate his life stories and fond memories, his parents Barbara and Bradford Gerrand, uncle's, aunt's & cousin's. Tom & Julie (Stephen - Leslie). (Julian), Peter & Brenda ( Peter - Debbie) , (Jonathan - Andrea), (Marcus), (Cathryn). Aunt Marlene, Leona & Ernie (Leanne - Brett), (Tanya - Bruno), (Michelle - Robert), Michael, Michelle (Sam) (Lucy), Aunt Laura, Karl, Cheryl, (Karlee, Mackenzie). As well as Joshua's many friends.
Joshua will be dearly missed by all. Joshua was a beautiful soul. Our prayers are with you.
