Gary left home at an early age, after meeting the love of his life, his “bride” Beverly. They started a long life together that would take them from Estevan to Fort St John, Edson, Devon & finally Edmonton. Gary & Bev had two sons, Kirk and Kevin. Gary’s career in the oilfield industry was nothing short of remarkable. Starting with Eskimo Fracturing, later moving onto Northwest Industries and back to the oil industry with Brockham Well Servicing. He then applied his passion and expertise to start Grimes Well Servicing in 1979.
Gary was passionate about work, but more passionate about his family. He loved nothing more than to have everyone home for holidays, a meal, or a visit. He always applied common sense and had words of wisdom that will be greatly missed. He loved chatting with his grandchildren about politics, investing, and life decisions. He loved having a good game of cards, flying, boating, RV’ing, and golf.
Gary is lovingly survived by his devoted wife Beverly of almost 60 years, two sons, Kirk (Debbie) and Kevin (Rhonda) and grandchildren Katherine (Bryson), Bryce, Dalton, Blair and Craig. Gary is also survived by his sisters Judy Gingras (Robert Cote), Barbara (Brian) Forseth, Karen (Ralph) Harris, sister and brother-in-laws Doreen Humphries, Evelyn (Marcel) Boire, Frank (Judy) Eaton, numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Clayton and Kathleen, grandson Justin, brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Margaret, sister and brother-in-laws Shirley (Ross) LeBlanc, Sybil (Bob) Frijouf, Bob Gingras and Ron Humphries.
