It is with a heavy heart that we announce Joseph Chamoun’s passing on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was our fearless leader, father and husband to our mother, his wife of 53 years. Joseph’s memory will be cherished by his wife May and his loving children Corine (Scott), Danial and Dianna (Courtland). Joseph will be forever remembered by his grandchildren Chantal, Brenden and Gabriel. Siblings Camille, Jacqueline, Giselle as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends will fondly remember him.
He is predeceased by his siblings George and Marie-Thérèse. Our family will deeply miss his cheerful heart, words of wisdom, and stories that would keep us entertained. He was loved, respected and admired by many. We will miss you and you will always live in our hearts.
A special thank you to the ICU staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for the special care and attention given during our family’s difficult time.
A visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 9850 148 Street NW Edmonton, AB on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 9850 148 Street NW Edmonton, AB on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:30 am with Reverend Dean Dowle officiating. A graveside service will follow at St Michael’s Cemetery 13819 82 Street NW Edmonton, AB.
