Janet Geraldine Lawrence-Butcher (nee' Hannay) passed away peacefully in Calgary, Alberta January 2, 2022, at 101 years of age. Born July 7, 1920, in Rexton, New Brunswick. Janet was the eldest daughter of Graham and Margaret Hannay. Janet had six siblings, Edward (Junior), Malcom, Byron, Lois, and Jean all predeceased, and her youngest sibling Elaine (Bob) Tramley. Janet married Allen Lawrence (predeceased), with which she had five children, Graham, Sharon, Heather, Janis, and Robert.
Janet was the owner of Beverly Beauty School and Beverly Beauty Salon in Edmonton, Alberta and retired to marry her second husband Reginald Butcher (predeceased). Janet was the strong matriarch of the family and will be sorely missed by not only her children, but her grandchildren Stacey, Cindy, Kimberly, Jason, Adam, Kate, and beloved great grandchild Ellie. Not to mention all her friends and family near and far.
