Irene Richardson

Irene was born in Lashburn, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Alice Campbell on November 11, 1929. She completed a post-secondary computer program in Edmonton, followed by several years working at Northern Alberta Dairy Pool.

She married Wallace Richardson on October 23, 1953, in Edmonton. Wallace died November 12, 1975. His death left a painful void in her life.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Corinne Richardson (Royal Mathews) and Dixie Richardson (Aloysius James); son, Lawrence (Karen) Richardson; brother, Pat Campbell; grandchildren, Shawna Richardson, Megan (Geoff) Clark and Matthew Doyle (Kimberley Dencer); and great-grandson, Grayson Clark.

Memorials may be given to the University of Alberta Hospital and the SPCA.

The family of Irene wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her caregivers Brenda Daigle and Trudie Jaegli and Homecare Angels. Brenda and Trudie became close friends to Irene. She was grateful for their support.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 1:00pm at Memories Funeral Home 13403 St. Albert Trail NW, Edmonton. Irene will be brought to her final resting place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
