It is with broken hearts that the family of Helen Lillian Paltzat (nee Malowany) announce that she was called to her eternal home on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She is reunited with those she loved and missed so much: her husband, Eugene; parents, Mike and Doris; and brother, Vince. We are comforted knowing Mom is free of pain and clear of mind and can enjoy the wonders of Heaven.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Linda (Lucien), Ken (Diane), Randy (Gayle), and Marianne (Randy) and her 10 grandchildren, Jason (Melinda), David (Marielle), Kenny (Kelly), Jennifer (Troy), Meghan (David), Danny (Kirsten), Alicia (Brent), Melissa (Dylan), Emma (Tom), and Evalyn. Helen had 14 great-grandchildren and one more on the way who will continue her legacy for generations to come. She also leaves two brothers, Nestor (Lydia) and Nick, whom she cherished.
With Alzheimer's, Mom lost her memories, but she never lost her ability to love and to laugh. She said "I love you" at every opportunity. She taught us to live in the moment and to appreciate all that we have. To Mom, the most important thing was love for family. Mom had great strength and courage as she suffered with both Alzheimer's and cancer.
Sincere gratitude to Dr. Cheema and the staff at 3LP Lynnwood who cared for Mom with so much compassion and were supportive to our family. We appreciate the families we met at 3LP who we shared our journeys together with. We would also like to thank the staff at River Ridge Memory Unit who loved and cared for Mom.
