It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Harold Arthur Irwin on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
He will be dearly missed by all; especially his wife of 69 years, Irene. Harold was born on September 17, 1930 in Fort Saskatchewan. He grew up on a farm near Ardrossan, leaving at 19 when he went to work in road construction with Poole Engineering. He married Irene Teske in 1954 and they had two sons, Darrell in 1956 and Gary in 1959. In 1974 he and 3 other partners started Carmacks Construction where he worked until his retirement in 1995.
He and Irene enjoyed 20 wonderful years traveling south to Phoenix in their fifth wheel to relax and to golf. He is survived by his sons Darrell of Whitehorse, Gary and wife Lana of Edmonton, Grandchildren Chris, Shawn, Kailey and eight great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Hainstock's Funeral Home and Crematorium, 9810-34 Avenue Edmonton, AB.
