Fred is remembered as a loving father and grandfather who loved his family with all his heart.
Throughout his life, Fred enjoyed a successful career working as a Chartered Professional Accountant with numerous accreditations to his name. He was honored earlier this year (2023) by the Chartered Accountants of Alberta for having served for fifty years. He was extremely proud of his achievement.
Born in Guyana, in his early days he was an outstanding cricket and ping pong player. He quickly mastered golf upon immigrating to Canada. Fred loved singing karoke, playing cards, Dominoes and board games with family and friends.
His gentle smile warmed your heart, and his sense of humor was contagious. He was a loving, kind and generous man, willing to help in any way. He was always planning the next karoke night, vacation or family get togethers. He loved to travel, and his career took him to many exotic places around the world.
Fred will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Donna (Alex); his sons James (Trish) and John (Diane) and his grandchildren: Vanessa (Carter), Ashley, Spencer, Brayden, Parker, Nolan (Kelsie) and Matthew, his surviving siblings Rudy (Vado), Pamela and Myrna (John), his nieces, nephews, and family around the world.
Cremation has taken place and a private family Celebration of Life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice in Fred’s name.
