Frank McMorrow aged 61, was born and raised in Fife, Scotland. Trained as an Electrician. Met the love of his life Carol in 1976, married in 1977 before immigrating to Canada with Carol and their four children in 1988. Prominent member of the community Frank volunteered in numerous projects and organizations eventually launching his career as a Financial Advisor in 1999. Frank had many hobbies including his love of gardening, backyard fires, bbq’s all year round, darts, collecting unique ties and fixing everything with duct tape and silicone. Frank will be greatly missed by family and many friends and colleagues.
Frank passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in the early hours of May 27, 2019 at his home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Pre-deceased by his parents Frank & Alice, brother Gerard, mother in-law Margaret. Frank is survived by his loving wife Carol of 41 years, devoted father to Frank (Alana), Paul (Cassia), Cairol, Graham (Kyla), brother John, sister Maria, proud Granddad to Abbi, Lilli, Liam, Brody, Remington, Sia, Owen, Julie and father in-law Albert.
Service will be held on Friday May 31, 2019 at 1pm at the Hainstock’s Funeral Home (9810 34 Avenue, Edmonton T6E 6L1) . As Frank was a cancer survivor, anyone wishing to make a contribution, the family asks that they be in the form of a donation to the Cross Cancer Institute.
Family have requested that those who are attending the service dress the way Frank would have wanted, and dawn the most outrageous tie you can find (no black ties please). Proud of his Scottish heritage, Frank’s ashes will be spread back home in Scotland at a later date.
