Not long before he got sick we had coffee at the Italian centre shop where we often met. He will be greatly missed.

Shocked to hear of Frank's passing. I met him several times when he was in Thunder Bay visiting his family here  as I am a cousin of Vera, Esther & Frances . Frank & his family  had me over for a wonderful dinner when I was in Edmonton many years ago.  He lead a remarkable life and touched the lives of many people . Thinking of his family during this difficult time. 

Our heartfelt condolences to Cara, Jamey and Lianne. He was a very special man with a zest for life. I will miss our daily coffees and lively conversations.

To Francesco family, I knew him for a very long time and every time I saw him at the coffee shop at Spinelli he was the most happiest and kindest man you could have ever known, always gave you a hug and his laughter was contagious. ... he will be missed

10 years ago we bought a condo in Mazatlan, Mexico.  We were grabbing a coffee and dessert with our girls when Brad heard a voice he thought he recognized.  He turned quickly and said "Franco, there was a slight pause and then a boisterous, Brad"!  A chance encounter in a Mazatlan bakery almost 10 years ago ignited a deep and meaningful friendship. It turned out that Franco lived in the building right next to us.  Clearly it was meant to be.  From that moment on Brad and Franco were inseparable in Mazatlan.  Many meals were shared, adventures and misadventures were experienced.  Franco was warm, welcoming and always up for anything. He was a fantastic host and tour guide, bringing us to his favourite spots and introducing us to his many friends.  He was a popular man, loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.  We were lucky enough to call him family.  We will miss him dearly but are grateful for the everlasting memories.  Forever in our hearts.  Much love, Brad, Lori, Lauren and Samantha 

My husband Jean Paul and I, along with John and Anette Webster, were guests of Franco's while we were in Mexico and he served us one of his famous pasta dinners.  He was a fabulous host and such a kind giving person. 

Our deepest condolence to our Cousins Lianne (Family)  Cara (Family) Jamie (Family) and Auntie Irda(Family).  We are deeply heartbroken and sadden to hear about the passing of Our Dear Uncle Frank.  He will be deeply missed and he will have a special place in our hearts FOREVER. 

We met Franco in Mazatlan in 2014 through John Webster and friends.  Franco opened his doors to us and made a big Italian dinner.  Yum, yum.  Also is attached a picture from his balcony, what a spectacular view.  I remember him telling me to wear my hair shorter, which I do to this day.
Also remember him taking us to his favorite place to enjoy coconuts.  Downtown Mazatlan on Halloween, what a treat not a trick.
What a great guy who will be dearly missed.

Lianne and family, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved father. Frank was a wonderful man! One could not meet Frank without getting a hug and a kind word. 
He has left this world much too soon and he will be truly missed by many.

Frank, I would like to offer my condolences to your family. May they find the strength they need to get through this loss. Frank you were an amazing friend. I met Frank in 2001, his daughter  Lianne taught my daughter grade 1.   I enjoyed many visits with Frank over the years. He always had kind words, a big smile and a huge hug for me.  It did not matter if you had just met Frank or you had known him for 20 years he always treated you like you were part of his family. I miss that infectious laugh.  Frank always had words of wisdom for me every time we spoke. He was an amazing person and I know  The loss of him has been felt literally around the world. It makes me sad that I don't get to hear that big laugh anymore.  Dear Frank know that you are missed, know that I will continue to check on your family. My only regret is that I never made it to Mexico after you invited me at least a 1000 times take care my friend.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Frank’s passing. He was a kind generous big hearted guy with an infectious laugh and smile.
   I met Frank through his cousin John Webster , he came to many of our shows and was always a good guy and fun to have around. 
   We stayed with him in Mazatlan and appreciated his wonderful hospitality he helped get me medical attention when my hand was infected.

I'm still trying to process that he's really gone. This one hurts....a lot. Franco's love of life , people and his generosity with his time  and energy will be remember and missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. To his family our deepest condolences, and know that he loved you guys more than anything.

       I have known Frank for many years and became good friends during our time in Mazatlan.  Frank was a true friend, he would do anything for you, all you had to do was ask.
I remember one time that he had invited us for dinner at his place for one of his ten course meals.   He said that he had a craving for "cullura", Italian doughnuts, the way his mother used to make them.  My wife, Linda, Tony and Loretta Bossio, and Gina Feraco we all got together and made Frank a happy man.
       Frank, we are going to miss your hearty laugh,  your yearly famous potluck in Mazatlan and  your generosity.  
        You will be missed by all.  Rest in peace.


Dear family of Frank,
We are Jamie and Erik from Vancouver and friends   of John and Anet's. That is how we met your dear father, brother , family member . We met Frank in Mexico when he so graciously collected us from the  airport .The fun never stopped . He was so loving and generous to us. We had an incredible  evening at his place ,where he spent days creating the most wonderful meal for us  of about 12 courses. I am also Italian and I can say , the meal was made with so much love . It knocked us out. We sang songs. We laughed ,we enjoyed .Frank invited us to  another  party in the lobby with his buddies and we all sang; The wonderful Italian songs he loved and the wonderful Spanish songs he and his friends loved . Franko , to us was a man satisfied with his life so that he could be generous and loving and share his enthusiasm and jest for life. We will always remember his joy , his kindness and his beautiful personality , We send you our deep condolences in this great loss of love and life. Frank is a person who will be missed in many ways. We have known Frank for over 50 years and in that time he has been a great friend.  He has been Helens hairdresser in his shop at Capilano and you were always welcomed by his recognizable laughter. 
We started to see more of Frank in Mazatlan where he went out of his way to visit us, picking or dropping us off at the airport, going for tours around the town and the wonderful meals out at restaurants or at our condos. His genuine desire to help and include everyone was remarkable.  His organization for the potluck in Mazalan was unforgettable and will be missed. 
We will miss his laughter, caring and joy for life.  Rest-in peace Frank. Our condolences to his family and may you gain strength on knowing he was loved by many. 


My prayers are with his children and family. He was a good man always friendly and full of life.  I met him 40 years ago and have to admit that we never kept in touch but whenever we bumped into each other he always had a warm smile to share with me.   My sincere condolences to his daughters and son and to all that were a huge part of his life ❤️
