With sadness we announce the passing of Elton. Survived by his wife, Carol of 47 years, son Robert; daughter Kelly (Greg); Grandchildren Cole, Elayna and Nola. A sister Ethel and extended family, numerous friends and relatives.
Predeceased by his parents Forest and Alice Dunk, Brother Sherman (Lil); Brother-in-law Ron and Mother and Father-in-law Ann and Jim Walker.
Elton was raised on a farm in Warner, Alberta. He excelled at school and sports. He played baseball as a youngster and proudly boasted that he was still playing at the age of 68. Elton graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSC in Agriculture in 1970. He had a long, varied and successful career with Alberta Agriculture. Elton retired at age 52. He had a love for golf, hunting, camping and fishing. He loved doing these activities with his buddies Ted, Gerry and Doug. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Last July he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent extensive treatment. He was well on the way to recovery and looked forward to the day he could eat a good steak. However, that was not meant to be. He passed away of cardiac arrest.
