Betty’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and always made us feel special and loved. She loved babies and small children so when her children were grown, she became a beloved nanny for several families and loved to tell stories of how they blessed her life. Betty loved to bowl and was in a bowling league for several years winning several trophies. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading novels, jigsaw puzzles, cribbage, Scrabble and various card games. While working as a nanny, she went to Grant MacEwan University and took Early Childhood classes, making us all very proud of her. Friends and family will remember her as warm and loving with a quick wit and a great sense of humour. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and especially those of us blessed enough to call her family.
As per her wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Cremation entrusted to Memories Funeral Home.
