Elizabeth Mary Czaja

She leaves behind her four children, Jacqueline (Tobias), Michael, Christina, Steven, the father of their children, Edward, and their dogs Tucker and Winston. She also leaves behind her beloved best friend and sister Phyllis, her three children Ciara (Brian), Sean (Bonnie), Michael + niece, Caila, as well as her sister, Anne.

Elizabeth was born in Dublin, Ireland on February 11th, 1960 to Michael and Sheila Keogh and grew up in Scarborough, Ontario until she moved to Edmonton, Alberta where she married Edward and raised their four children.

She was well known in the healthcare field in her profession as an Ophthalmic Technician where she devoted over 30 years to bettering the lives of her patients and creating lifelong friendships.

Elizabeth loved all animals- especially dogs. And spent a lot of her time caring for and loving family pets as they became included by the handfuls. She also loved spending time skiing and camping in the Rocky Mountains, spending time at the race track, watching her kids soccer game, as well as watching old black and white tv shows.

She was passionate about helping and making everyone around her smile. Whether it was making after school snacks, hosting an awesome sleepover (or party) for the kids, or lending a listening ear- she always welcomed everyone with open arms.

Elizabeth will always be remembered by her family, friends, neighbor’s, co-workers and patients as fun, loving and compassionate, with a witty sense of humor and the biggest heart.
