It is with deep sorrow and aching hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas on September 25, 2023, at the age of 68. Douglas passed away at home with his wife at his side, after a brief battle with cancer.
Douglas is fondly remembered as a loving husband, father and brother, by his beloved wife of 44 years, Barbara, his daughters, Jennifer (Sean), Crystal (Kyle) and Melissa; as well as his brother Clinton. He will also be forever missed by his grandchildren Brynn, Milo, Heath, Luca, Malia and Sadie; as well as many relatives and friends. Douglas was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Viola and brothers Randy and Terry.
A celebration of Douglas’s life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Douglas’s memory may be made directly to the Cross Cancer Institute or donating blood through Canadian Blood Services.
