It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Dorothy Jean Mellott, who bravely fought a battle against pancreatic cancer. She peacefully left this world on December 24, 2023, at 4 am at the young age of 73 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on September 4th, 1950, Dorothy Mellott was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength were truly inspiring.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in knowing that she is at peace, free from pain and watching over us from above.
She was predeceased by her father Charles Henry Davis, Mother Margaret Lillian Dunphy, her two sisters, Charlotte and Joanne, as well as her three brothers, Merlin, Herb, and Bobby.
She was survived by her husband, Benjamin Fiddler, her beloved Bella, her children, Lisa Fry (Peter), Deborah Scott (Brad), Kenneth Mellott, Stepson Christopher Fiddler (Amanda), stepdaughter, Kimberley Fiddler as well as her two brothers, Harry Davis (Linda), and Donnie Davis. Grandchildren, Sheldon Mellott, Nicole Fry, Justin Brimner, Jordan Brimner, Mercedes Brimner, Abigail Fiddler, Cadence Fiddler, Jaeden Fiddler, Jarren Fiddler, Jahrell Fiddler and great grandchildren Maximus Mellott, Radek Mellott, Benjamin Brimner, Noah Brimner, and Baby Khadija.
We will be holding her celebration of life reception at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton AB T5L 4X1.
