I met Dave when. I started working at Lakewood in December of 2017. We were paired up numerous times over the next few years delivering cars all over the province. Dave  was never short of stories with his work  with the Edmonton police force but most of all he liked talking about his family and his beloved dog Marshall. He was the kindest person that I ever met. Unfortunately I only heard about his passing yesterday and I deeply regret missing his memorial.

Dave was a class mate in class 31 with the Edmonton Police Service. He was a consumate Professional and enjoyed his work as a Police Officer and to the citizens of Edmonton. Dave was a valued member of the Lions Club and was always there when volunteers were needed. I know from working closely with Dave that he Loved his family and all thier friends. I know from experience as a former President of an Edmonton Lions Club that he was a very Special Man. He could deal with the most unusual event and bring every one together with a smile.
He was a very Special Man and friend. My condolences to all members of your family, he will be missed by all who knew him.

My deepest condolences and thinking of you. I had a privilege to get to know Dave during my exchange year in Edmonton some 30 years ago and to meet him again in the summer 2022. He was always so kind and friendly and  I do remember his funny jokes. He had a big heart and he was ready to always help. He was such a great and warm person. I will always remember him, he was such a character you rarely meet.

Dave was in my squad at South Division and we worked many, many shifts together.  He was always upbeat and positive, even when the situation was a tough one.  Very sorry to hear of his passing.  Deepest condolences.

My deepest condolences to Shirley and family.  I met Dave after moving to Aspen Meadows.  He was one of the first people I met here.  He was so friendly to everyone and always made me smile with his stories.  Dave was such a big personality and  leaves a hole in many hearts.

I would like to extend  my sincere condolences to David Smith's family. Dave and I shared stories about our 1990 Chev Silverado Stepsides whenever Dave was my chauffer at Enterprise. Dave was a true gentleman who made our rides together a pleasure with easy friendly conversations that made the morning commute relaxed and safe. Thank-you Dave!

Saddened to learn of Dave's passing.  Although many years and miles have separated us, the bond of being a brother officer and fellow classmate of Class 31 of ECPD meant we were inexorably connected.   One day we'll meet up on the other side.  Genuine condolences to your family and loved ones.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Dave, when he and his family owned a cabin at Garner Lake..My husband and I owned the Shell Service Station just down the road in Spedden.
