I was shocked and saddened when my co-workers told me that Cynthia had passed away suddenly. I always looked for her 'line' when i had to renew my cpr, as she knew her stuff but would gently correct if someone needed it. She came with us to immunize on school rounds and could always count on her for a laugh. She worked with us in flu clinics and I never had to worry about her table. I will miss her smile, friendly and caring nature. She will be greatly missed.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

 Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
 That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,

 It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

 God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not  be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Shane and family it's many years since we seen Cynthia ,she was loving and caring person . Are thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Shane, Tasha, Jen, Mr.+ Mrs. Haskol, I taught CPR with Cynthia for the past several years and she was a very special colleague and dear friend to me. My mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease 5 years ago and Cynthia was an ongoing pillar of strength and support for me. Her deep care and compassion for others was always evident in both her words and her actions. I hope she knew how much I always appreciated seeing her warm smile and hearing her kind words. She was a gentle soul and will be sadly missed by everyone who was so fortunate to have worked with her. May God give you all endless strength and courage to cope with her sudden passing. I am so sorry to hear of your  loss .  It is never easy to lose a loved one.  I lost my  dear mom just in April this year. Cynthia expressed all the characteristics of a great nurse.  She was knowledgeable, kind, caring,compassionate  and always put the needs of others before her own. Even after she left our medical office she often stopped for a visit (usually accompanied by a tray of goodies). We know that the addition of grandchildren was extra special in Cynthia's life.  Words can say so little of what is in the heart.  May your memories help you through this tough time.

I have worked with Cynthia over the past several years on the flu clinic out of Twin Brooks health center.  We always looked forward to seeing her in the fall as she was so reliable, hardworking, compassionate with our clients and added so much spirit to our flu team. 

A couple years ago we became much closer as she coached me through the very difficult job of caring for my mom with advanced demensia.  She was such a great resource because of all her own experience and knowledge, and a huge personal support that got me through some very difficult months.  I enjoyed her so much, always so kind, often leaving a little note of encouragement on my desk, or passing a "hi" through other staff if we couldn't connect.  

Although it is quite unusual for casual staff, everyone knew who Cynthia Grant was, she was very well respected.  

I am so very sorry for your loss, she shared often about her family, speaking so highly of you all.  Seeing how giving she was, I know that much of her will stay with each of you.  God's best to you all.
