Thelma met and married Clary Spencer and together they began a construction company, building homes. They also had a successful horse breeding ranch for over 30 years. Thelma was the backbone of the organization.
Thelma was a member of Faith Bible Church.
When Thelma wasn’t playing with her beloved grandchildren, cooking for the family, or making her famous pumpkin bread, you could find Thelma at the casino pulling slots.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Galloway; sister, Ada Helms; and son, Alan Spencer.
She is survived by her husband, Clary Spencer; sons Gary Spencer & wife Julie and Terry Spencer & wife Kim; grandchildren: Mason Spencer, Collin Spencer, Terra Myers, Candace Brooks, Kyle Spencer, Kiley Hendley, and Heather Brown; great-grandchildren: Nash, Jett, Jagger, Amery, Luca, Paxton, Holden, and Maisie; and many other family members and friends.
Viewing will be at Baggerley Monday from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be 10am, Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
