Susan was appointed to a position as Philosophy professor at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO in 1967, commuting from her Fulton home until her retirement in 2000. Susan was a loving wife, mother, and a gifted teacher and leader. She enjoyed book club, a gourmet dinner group, was a longtime Yoga student, and kept in touch forever with a small, close-knit group of high school friends. She was an avid fan of Kansas University basketball. Susan and her husband’s love of nature led to frequent trips to the Grand Tetons and other National Parks. We are so grateful for the time, laughter, and love we shared with her. Her sense of humor and her kind, genteel, and appreciative soul were with her to the end. She accepted her disease with grace and will be missed by family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
