Robina J. Harmon

Robina J. Harmon was born on April 12, 1947 in McAlester, OK to Jack & Mary (Burns) Ruminer. She passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 in Edmond, OK at the age of 75. Robina graduated from McAlester High School followed by attending the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, OK to receive her Bachelor's degree and received her Master's degree in Administration from the University of Oklahoma. She married Charles D. Harmon July 19, 1964 in Durant, OK. Robina taught in Ninnekah, Marlow, McAlester, as well as various different elementary schools in Oklahoma City. During her teaching career, she served as mentor for many first-year teachers and ultimately took on a position as a Facilitator. She always loved socializing as well as cooking for friends and family. Robina was a member of the Oklahoma Education Association, a member of LifeChurch, where she was baptized and attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond, OK.

Survivors include: son, Kevin D. Harmon & wife Kreela of McAlester, OK; sisters, Sabra Ruminer of Edmond, OK and Virginia Johnson of Warner, OK; nieces and nephews, Meagan Raddatz & husband Nate and their children Leo & Barrett of Edmond, OK, Justin Carswell and his children Lainey & Sterling of McAlester, OK, Deanna Duerson and husband John and their son Jeremy of Warner, OK, Lisa Benn and husband Bobby and their children Matthew and Don of Owasso, OK; in-laws, Phyllis Breunig and husband Carl of Gunnison, CO, Ronnie Harmon and DeeDee of Edmond, OK, and Kenny Harmon and wife Debra of Blanchard, OK.

Robina was preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Mary Ruminer; husband, Charles D. Harmon; and nephews, Christopher Carswell, Robert Young and Joseph Harmon.

Viewing: Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00pm at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK.

Service: Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2:00pm at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond.
