I met Bob 12 years ago after we both had retired from our careers and had embarked on a second act in convenience stores. I liked Bob immediately and we bonded over our shared sarcastic sense of humor and our mutual politics. I considered him a good friend and feel fortunate to have met his wife and son. Bob was a good and kind person who would do anything for his family.  I miss him and offer profound condolences to his family.

Wow, hate to hear this news. Bob was a good friend. My sympathy for the family.

Bob will be greatly missed.  I will always remember Bob and his sense of humor. Never a dull moment around Bob - but Bob was ALWAYS there when you needed something. A heart of gold.  I remember calling on Bob one afternoon - walked into his office - I said Bob where are the chairs and where am I going to sit -   Bob said don't worry about it - your not staying long.   I will miss Bob - Bob was a work colleague - Bob was my neighbor in Safety Harbor - but most important Bob was my friend - working with him and the many many times we socialized and spent times at each others homes.   The Good ones are always called home first -  keep them laughing Bob - !!!!

Celebration of Life sentiments:
Bob routinely entertained friends with supermarket lore.
One of my favorites involved Bob being in a purchasing capacity and a hopeful saleswoman calling on him with what was one of the first plastic vegetable oil containers (they were glass previously). 
Bob's at his desk (feet on it probably) and the saleswoman in an effort to demonstrate the container is unbreakable tosses it up in the air above the desk in Bob's direction.  
It lands and disintegrates with oil on the desk/Bob and the adjacent area.  
The saleswoman is livid! No sale that day!
When she made a follow up appointment with Bob, he was wearing a raincoat when she arrived. 
Laughs all around. 
Plastic went on to replace glass for most containers and Bob had a good story to share.
Bob was a pleasure to spend time with.
We missed him when he left Florida for Oklahoma. 
We joked that Bob looking A LITTLE like Barry Switzer the former OU coach could don an OU jacket; go to a bar  and get back slaps and complimentary cocktails from adoring fans for years to come.
Bob's passing is sad.
Deepest sympathy to all who mourn his passing.
Bob's life was well spent and satisfying.
Savor pleasant memories.






Started working with Bob Morris at WD 699,  then years passed and our paths crossed again when he was DSD buyer for Tampa DIv. 

Loved to play basketball with Gary Benscoter and many others after work. 

Always enjoyed attending Specialty Foods food show at Innsbrook, Greenleaf and Saddlebrook. Loved the  game of golf.

Haven’t seen Bob in a long time, tragic to see him pass. Wishing his wife and family many prayers during this difficult time. 

Had a passion for the grocery business and was damn good at what he did.

Going to miss you my friend. Especially the lunches when we were at Deerwood. That's about the only fun we had while we were there. Prayers for the family. I never had the opportunity to meet them but I know they meant everything to him.

I remember Bob so well my, husband Wilson and myself worked with Bob at Arizona Beverage at least 10 years.  Bob always had the nicest things to say at our meetings and he was a pleasant person to work side by side with.  We both are so sorry for your loss we will remember him in our prayers.  Rest in peace Bob.

When I was in the Tampa Headquarters I remember Bob as a great person to be around and work with. He was funny and could make anyone laugh but always was a gentleman.

Bob was always a pleasure to work and be around. Like most of us we could never master the golf game, but we tried! Think his quick wit is what I remember most, fast with those one liners and a big smile right afterward.

Called on Bob for many years with Entenmann’s and was a gentleman and a great friend. Went to
a few Orlando Magic games and played some golf together. RIP, Bob.

Bob and I were friends for almost 50 years. We came up through the ranks of Winn-Dixie and both served at Winn-Dixie headquarters. We were best friends, played golf almost every weekend. Watch his son Sean grow up and marry and raise two children. Those children were Bob's world! Rest In Peace my friend and I'm sure you be playing lots of golf at the most beautiful courses!

My fondest memories of Bob was in the
Tampa Headquarters buying office at Winn- Dixie. I remember going into his office to discuss price changes he wanted me to load for him and he would have his leg elevated with a bag of frozen peas on his foot because his gout was acting up. What a character. He was always kind and his sense of humor was amazing. It was a privilege knowing Bob and his sense of humor was contagious. You will be truly missed. My deepest condolences to his wife Gail and his son and grandchildren.
