In loving memory of Ralph Walker Green Jr, born December 10, 1937, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, was called home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2024. He was the beloved son of Ralph Walker Green Sr. and Rosie Lawrence.
Ralph served his country with honor during the Korean War as a member of the Army. He eventually settled in Garden City, Kansas, where he dedicated many years of hard work to Walmart before retiring. Later in life, he returned to his roots, residing in Shattuck, Oklahoma, and eventually settling in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Above all, Ralph's faith was central to his life, and he held a deep love for Jesus. He found great joy in woodworking, a passion he cultivated throughout his lifetime. As a skilled woodworker and a member of the Oklahoma City Woodcarver's Club, Ralph's craftsmanship and creativity brought joy to many.
In addition to his woodworking pursuits, Ralph was known for his generous spirit. He volunteered his time at the OKC Book Sale held at the OKC Fairgrounds.
Ralph is survived by his loving children: Valerie Aguirre and husband Enrique Aguirre, Ralph Green III and wife Rosie Green, and Lisa O'Brien and husband Michael O'Brien. He is also survived by his brother Richard Green and wife Anita Green, his sister Ramonia Kirkhart, as well as his 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Walker Green Sr. and Rosie Green, his brothers Roonie Green and Raymond Green, and two great-grandchildren whom awaited him in Heaven that Friday morning.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VA Hospital, a cause that was close to Ralph's heart.
Ralph Walker Green Jr will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his unwavering faith, his dedication to craftsmanship, and his loving presence in the lives of his family and community.
Come-and-go visitation for Ralph will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Lone Tree Cemetery in Ellis County, Oklahoma, near Shattuck and Durham.
