Melinda Lee Reid

Melinda Lee Reid was born in Jefferson Memorial Hospital on January 6th 1964 to Jackie D. McBride and Patsy M. McBride. She is survived by her loving parents and her three children, Jake, Penny, and Allie. Melinda was the oldest of five kids and was very close with all of her siblings. They all spent countless hours together and with their cousins in their Grandmother Penny’s gardens and large yard.

As a 4.0 and honor student at Putnam City North high school she received an academic scholarship to Central State University (UCO). Upon completing her time there she was given her bachelors degree in Accounting and was named a Dean’s Honor Roll student. After college she continued her work at Edmond Paving Company as the head Accountant and office manager. She loved gardening and spent hours and hours every year tending to her plants and gardens because she loved the beauty they brought to her home. Nothing made her happier than getting to cook her wonderful meals for her kids and was always working on new recipes that she heard or found. She was the kindest person anyone could’ve had the pleasure of meeting and will be missed dearly.
