Leslie Lane (Bradley) Vetter, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was born April 30, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully and surrounded by her children on April 9, 2025. She was 84 years old.
Leslie was the third daughter of Vern Lester Bradley and Wynonna Josephine (Goodman) Bradley. The family moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma and started the family business – Bradley’s Café.
Leslie attended Blackwell Public Schools and in 1990 earned her Associates of Science from Oklahoma City Community College. She was an active member in the Blackwell Rainbow Assembly #13 followed by the Order of the Eastern Star Moore Chapter #504. She is a Past Worthy Matron and a 50 year long member of the Edmond Eastern Star Chapter. Leslie worked in accounting at U.S.F. & G, then at Bradford Village Retirement Community until her retirement from her career.
Leslie met the love of her life, Billy R. Vetter, in Blackwell and married in 1957. They were married for 65 years, until Bill’s death in 2022. The couple moved to Oklahoma City for Bill’s career with the OKCPD and later to Edmond for his work as Chief of Police for Edmond PD. The couple resided in Edmond, Oklahoma after retirement.
Leslie is survived by her children Vickie and wife Sandy, Terrie, Brian and wife Sandy, Bill and wife Paige, seven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister Jerrie Janota, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Nancy Limbocker and Norma Hollingsworth.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospital and Mercy Hospice staff for their dedication and compassionate care of Leslie. They are angels among us! We Love you, Mema!
A visitation for Leslie will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.
A graveside service will occur Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gracelawn Cemetery Pavilion, 1407 North Blvd, Edmond, OK 73003.
