Kirbi Nicole Wilson of Edmond, Oklahoma earned her angel wings on July 15th, 2010 in Edmond, OK. She was born June 29, 1983, in Woodward, Oklahoma to Jerold and Melissa (Valentine) Wilson. She left this earth in a tragic car accident.
In 1992 Kirbi moved with her family to Edmond, Oklahoma. She graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 2001. Kirbi attended Seward County Community College to pursue her dream to play basketball, and completed her Associates Degree.
With her passing her family and loved ones are reminded that Kirbi's life was one to be celebrated. Kirbi had a gentle smile and a raucous personality. She had an incredible sense of humor and the ability to make a joke out of anything. Kirbi was an All State Track and Basketball athlete, and later enjoyed coaching her sister, Kennedy, and her track team at Sequoyah Middle School. She charmed everyone she met, and left a vivid memory with each interaction. Kirbi is missed and not a day will pass without her family recalling her smile and contagious laugh. Life was cut very short for Kirbi, but for her family and many friends, Kirbi's life far exceeded her years. Her engaging personality and the warmth of her smile will never be forgotten.
Kirbi was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Lloyd and Patsy Valentine of Woodward and paternal grandparents Jim and Mary Jo Wilson of Woodward and by her cousin Jodi Wilson also of Woodward.
Kirbi was loved and cherished by her parents and family Jerold and Melissa, her sisters Karli and Kennedy, and her brother Kolby all of Edmond. Kirbi also loved her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bearers will be Josh Wilson, Jason Wilson, John Jones, Chris Easley, Dax Davis-Chymmick, Matt Wakefield.
Celebration of Kirbi Nicole Wilson's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday July 19, 2010 at Baggerley Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.
