Sorry for your loss.  Karen was a wonderful person.  I grew up with her and others in the same area.

I grew up in the same farm community as Karen. We went to church together and to school together.  Karen always had a smile on her face, and was the sweetest person.  This makes me so sad, shouldn't happen to such a kind and good person. Prayers to her family.

If Karen were here, she would say “if there is anything good in me, it’s Jesus.” And, as always, she’d be right. In fact, the good news, is that the best part of Karen is still available for us all, in Jesus. Any place where we experience Karen’s unconditional love, was simply Jesus loving us through her. Any place where we felt Karen extending us grace and forgiveness, it was simply Jesus doing likewise, through her. She was merely a vessel of a Heavenly Father that is constantly in process of drawing all men to Himself. And if you haven’t yet surrendered your heart to this Jesus, it’s not too late. Like Karen, Jesus is always available for a talk, a cup of tea, an embrace.

To echo John’s words once again, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” Karen simply copied what she watched her Savior live. As Karen sits with Jesus, receiving the full reward of life spent with Him, we can continue to receive that same love she poured out to us through her Heavenly Father. It is God’s great delight to draw near to all hearts. So wether you’re hurting or rejoicing, whether you’re crying or laughing may you find yourselves opening your hearts again to Jesus, The One that Karen loved most. And as you do, may you catch glimpses of Karen throughout your life that are reflecting in the love, grace and joy that God extends to all who call upon Him.

Our kids would run and tackle her, spending hours on the floor with toys strewn throughout her house and dinner getting on late because she knew what was more important. She didn’t care about trivial things or cultural norms. In fact, one time, when visiting us in France we took her and Andy to a fancy chateau at the top of a perfectly well manicure hill. Scott and I were explaining the history of the grounds to them when we turned around, no longer seeing Karen standing upright. Rather, in the midst of the tourists and French brides, we spotted 68 year old Karen horizontally rolling down the palace’s hills with her grandkids, like no one was watching. Dizzy with delight she laid giggling with the kids climbing upon her and basking in the joy of being “Nana.”

But perhaps the word that rings most true of her is her servant heart. It’s the word that has resounded through the countless texts, emails and conversations we’ve had this week. Story after story people shared the way she loved them unconditionally serving them, helping them, comforting them in their own times of need. People were drawn to her for comfort, knowing they could find rest in her arms, her hugs, her love. Karen never once worried about herself. She gave generously in a way that looked unwise to the world but caused her heart to swell with joy as she became the hands and feet of Jesus. She was the real deal. There was nothing false in her.

Karen was not just my mother-in-law, she was also my friend. Her incredible faith helped me grow in my own.

I will miss the way she tucked in our kids at night, reading to them, and giggling like a kid herself. 
I will miss her stories of her growing up at the farm and the highlight of their week being driving Main Street. 
I will miss coming down in the mornings for my first cup of coffee, talking about everything and nothing as she fixes our breakfast. 
But most of all I will miss her friendship, her heart and her wisdom — always pointed us back to Jesus.

Karen was a nice, nice lady. She always had a kind word to greet me when our paths crossed. Karen would have a solution to any challenge that I had at the moment, in order to get my work done and be satisfied at the end of the day. I will dearly miss Karen and her wisdom ...GOD'S ANGEL. I am so very sorry to hear Karen has passed.  I met her when I started working for Legal Aid over 10 years ago.  Karen always had a smile on her face, was always so kind, considerate and very patient.  She will always be remembered as a light in this world.  I love her and pray for her family, that God will comfort you in this time of great sorrow.  Until we meet again my friend, you will be missed very much.

She always had a smile on her face whenever we crossed paths in the office.  She will be missed, my deepest prayers and condolences to the family.

Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. From the short time I'd known Karen she was definitely a light; always smiling and so genuine. Karen touched my heart with her kindness, strength & courage.  Always in my heart.

I also met Karen at work and quickly became friends because of her kind, loving nature.  I only knew her for a few years, but will always remember her as one of the most special humans I have had the privilege to  meet and get to know.  She talked of her children and grandchildren often and it was obvious how much she loved her family.  I will miss her beautiful smile, her encouraging ways, and her sweetness which brightened our days here at LASO.

When I received the message of Karen going to heaven, the tears fell down my face. Karen was a loving, caring and wonderful human being. I remember when I told her my husband was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, she prayed for me and my family. She made a blanket with a bible verse. I took it to my husband in the hospital and it gave my husband a sense of security. I loved her so very much. We spent allot of days at work just talking about family. When her son passed out because of his heart, we prayed together. I believe the connection we had was because God is good and he knew we needed it. I'm truly going to miss her. My heart aches. I pray for her family. God bless all of you. You truly lost an angel!!

I will miss Karen. I will always remember her friendship and her awesome smile. I am so sorry for this loss to her family, friends, and all of Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma. Karen was one of those rare individuals who served everyone and made everyone's day better. Good bye, Karen, see you around.

I had the privilege of working with Karen for a number of years.  She was not just a colleague; she was a friend.  I will always remember our conversations, especially about the grandchildren.  She was a woman of strength and quiet dignity and one who did not mind sharing her faith.  Heaven has indeed gained an angel!

Rest well my friend and I’ll see you in the morning!

Karen was a very kind and compassionate person. I met Karen at work and always enjoyed conversations with her. Heaven has gained a sweet, beautiful angel.  She will be forever remembered and forever missed.

Karen will be remembered for her sweet spirit and her continued faithfulness to God in times of difficulty and trials.  Her courage and positivity inspired us all.  We will miss her kindness and her love.

Andy and family:  Karen was one of the most wonderful people I ever knew.  So kind and loyal, and always upbeat.  I love her and miss her too.
