Karen Pierce Lancaster

Karen Pierce Lancaster was born November 17, 1946 to Leroy Pierce and Virgie Ellen Jackson in Phillips, Texas. She passed from this life on November 3, 2022 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Karen grew up in Shidler, Oklahoma and in Waterproof, Louisiana before moving to Edmond, Oklahoma in 1993. She was formally married to Robert Mallory Lancaster of Waterproof, Louisiana. They had two daughters together.

Karen will be remembered for her love of travel, and for being a great middle school teacher in Concordia Parish Schools and in Putnam City Schools for 40 years. She had a true passion for teaching and educating our youth.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Allyson and husband Patrick Landers of Vidalia, Louisiana and Kristin with husband Todd Wheeler of Edmond, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Zoey Kathleen Christiansen and Fox Aiden Wheeler and one sister, Elsie Largent of Houston, Texas as well as two nieces and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her sister Linda Wright.
