The picture i posted i think  was the last time i got to see my buddy.  We were really close at a younger age. We had our own lawn mowing company in middle  school. We thought we were rich with all the money we made from all the lawns in my local neighborhood.  It was called perfection mowing. as we got older i end up having to move to stroud and we stayed in touch as much as possible i would have him come out to stroud to ride dirt bikes and such. As the years went buy i would get ahold of him here and there  checking in on him.  And it was definitely heartbreaking finding out he had passed. i didn't get to know the john that was in the military. there were times he would get different numbers so it was hard keeping up with him. Last time i saw him was when his son was around 2 or 3 years old and he lived with his kids mom. I hope everyone knows that he may have had issues with some things later in life but that man will always be the funny fun guy i grew up with that was always willing to help out and i feel we lived a lifetime in just a short amount of time. I wish he was still here today  so i could see how awesome of a dad he would have been and to catch up and be involved in his later  years but that is something we all will have to miss out on. There are many memories that would take forever to put on here. Ill put more pictures on here when i come across them ive got a few but back in the day we didn't take many pictures we were too busy having fun. John will always have a special place in my heart and memories.

Gilbert, you were a great friend and an outstanding soldier. Everyone in Alpha 1-158 will miss you.

Another Angel taken Home too early...I will always remember those big bear hugs and that smiling face. Prayers sent for all your friends and family.
