Jenna Allison Perkins of Edmond, Oklahoma died peacefully in her sleep on January 6, 2023 from a previously unknown heart condition. Jenna was born in Norman, Oklahoma on August 23, 2007 to Trinity Allison (Bruseau) Perkins and Micah Paul Perkins.
Jenna was a freshman at Memorial High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. Jenna loved spending time with her friends and was involved in many activities including the school orchestra, for which she played Cello, the Memorial Winter Guard team, the environment club, FCCLA, and the knitting club.
Jenna participated in the school choir, where she sang Alto, and was selected for both All-Region and All-State choirs.
Jenna excelled academically, and had made the honor roll, again, earing all A’s and one B in her first Freshman semester.
Jenna enjoyed science and art. She pondered being an astrophysicist or physician when she grew up.
Jenna loved life. She loved going to musicals with her mother and father. She loved to cook and bake with her Grandmother. She loved to shop and binge watch television with her mother. Jenna learned to play chess from her grandfather. She was daddy’s “Star Wars buddy” and loved playing games with her brother and friends. Jenna was gifted in finding ways to connect with different people.
We will greatly miss her smile, laughter, and tender spirit. Our only solace is that she had a very happy life, with great friends, and was sheltered from many of life’s cruelties.
Jenna is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gregg and Freda Devona Hines Bruseau; Her Aunt and Uncle, Mike and Ranielle Wilson; and her Aunt, Anna Van Nort Perkins.
She is survived by her parents, Micah and Trinity Perkins of Edmond; her brother Thomas Perkins of Edmond; Her grandparents, Dr. Ernie and Wanda Perkins of Edmond; Her uncle Timothy Perkins and aunt Vicki Wilson of Mustang; her uncle Rob Iverson of Duncan, Oklahoma and aunt Katie Iverson of Marlow, Oklahoma.
A come-and-go visitation for Jenna will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the family to greet friends from 6:00 PM. until 8:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. A memorial celebration service will be on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow the service.
