10 years ago tomorrow the world lost a great man and I lost a great friend. One month ago today my daughter lost her battle with brain cancer and she is now in heaven. When Kevin was on the Night Shift with all of us at the courthouse, Lucy would come up and eat with us at least once a month. She loved Mr. Kevin. They are now together with the Lord Jesus and I wonder if Kevin is still “making a long story short“?!!

When I was a graduate student at UCO, Kevin was one of my instructors.  He was an outstanding teacher and a fine man. I visited him once while he was working as the Lead Court Security Officer for the U.S. Marshals Service in Western Oklahoma.  Wish I had visited him more. 

He made a difference & is not forgotten.

my dad spoke of Kevin in glowing terms, and often recanted to me their exploits when he visited him in Oklahoma some years ago.

Very sad to hear of his passing. i knew he always wanted to visit the emerald isle.

The emails, the holidays, the dinners, the phone calls, the conversations that lasted hours sometimes are all great, great memories. Fathers Day was so special and I will hold those memories forever, very precious memories.  Your big heart is missed by so many, as for myself I can say from my heart...

You were my heart and my soul, but most of all YOU were my hero. I cherished and idolized you my entire life. You were so strong, smart, and powerful. I was so amazed by you. All your accomplishments in life were to be admired. Your love and compassion for your fellow man was to be desired. You taught me so much in life that I really don't think you realized was learned from your children. But yet, it was... You taught me strength, compassion, and love. No one could ever compare to you, my sweet wonderful father. I miss you every single day. I can't wait to see you and be in your arms again. You were and always will be... MY HERO!

Kevin, my dear friend you will be missed. I only wish we could have visited and talked one more time. You will always be a mentor to me and a true friend. Forever in our hearts.

Kevin was a very honorable man, the love of my life and devoted husband. He was a fine man,and donated to almost any charitable organization imaginable. He devoted his life to helping others. Kevin was my grandfather, he did everything for me. He was a strong man and a great friend to a lot of people. We had the greatest memories! We would dance a sing to irish music and celebrate thanksgiving and christmas together! I will miss him dearly.. He was my soldier and rock. He gave me courage to do anything I wanted to and gave me knowledge he thought I needed. I will miss him greatly! I love you grandpa! Love Madison Murrison

I onley knew Kevin a few years as a Court Security Officer at the Federal Court House in Oklahoma City. Kevin was a friend to all he new. A man man, A man with a Doctor degree in Education who never wanted to be called doctor. I will recall Kevin as a man I will miss calling on for advise. God Bless Kevin a saying Kevin always ended a conversation and Kevin meant it.

Kevin Barry was my mentor and my friend. He is the epitamy of a man with honor and character. I will treasure the memories of our long conversations and will honor his memory by following his lead.  My deepest condolences to his family.
