Harold Edward “Hap” Rathjen of Oklahoma City, went to meet his Lord and Savior on November 3, 2011. He was born on April 15, 1922 in Enid, Oklahoma. Harold was a long-standing member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Edmond, OK. He was also a passionate family man who enjoyed tending to his acreage and catching the breeze on his back porch. In close circles, he was known for his “home brew”. He is preceded in death by Dorothy, his loving wife of sixty-six years. He is survived by three sons, Hal and Julie Rathjen of Beaumont, TX; James and Rena Rathjen of Guthrie, Ok; John and Tracey Rathjen of Oklahoma City, OK and one daughter Vicki “Grace” and Don Ritchlin of Yukon, Ok. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Elna Mae and Milferd Shupbach of Burlington, OK and two sisters-in-law, Gladys Rathjen and Ellen Rathjen both of Enid, OK. He was the proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Services for Harold will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Edmond on Monday, November 7th at 11am.
