Glenn and Mary Sage shared a lifetime of love and devotion to each other, their family, and their faith. Glenn graduated from Midwest City High School in 1958, and Mary graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1960. Glenn served as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army and received a sharpshooter medal. Glenn and Mary married on November 28, 1963, and spent nearly six decades together and were blessed with three children Roger, Russell, and Marybeth.
The couple made their home in Kingfisher for the majority of their lives, where Glenn worked as the store manager of IGA’s grocery stores. Their love for the Gospel was evident as they both sang in the church choir and found joy in watching Jerry Connell play music. Laughter and togetherness were hallmarks of their life, and they cherished every moment spent with their family.
Glenn, an ordained minister since 1976, and Mary were deeply devoted to their faith and were active members of Oak Street Church in Kingfisher. Upon moving to Edmond, they joined Vintage Church to be close to their niece, her husband, and their daughter. Glenn had a passion for building mini houses, while Mary loved playing games. They were both known for their love of life, pets, and their unwavering faith in the Lord.
Glenn and Mary are survived by their three children, Roger and wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Russell and wife Jo of Enid, and Marybeth of Del City. They leave behind eight grandchildren Bryan, Alvin, Joshua, Brandon, Johnathan, Crystal, Jessica, and David, twenty-one great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew, lots of great nieces and numerous great nephews., and their cherished cat Kasie. They also leave behind Lisa and Scott Nix, who were their cherished care givers.
Glenn and Mary Sage's legacy is one of love, faith, and family, and they will be dearly missed by all who knew them.
Memorial services for Glenn and Mary will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the First Baptist Church Kingfisher, 1340 S 13th St, Kingfisher, OK 73750.
