Frank Houston Loveless, age 96, of Oklahoma City, went to his heavenly home on September 10, 2023. Frank was born on April 11, 1927 in LeFlore County (McCurtain), Oklahoma to George H. and Zilyer (Arnwine) Loveless. He was raised in Seminole, Oklahoma and graduated from Seminole High School. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1945, serving until the end of WWII. Frank graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He went on to pastor churches in Comanche, Anadarko, Madill, Hominy, and also Orlando, Florida and Brandon, Florida. In later years he served on staff at both Metro Church Edmond and Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City.
Frank had a gift of connecting with and serving others, not only as a pastor, but a natural part of his everyday life. He was outspoken in his faith and led many people to know the Lord and Savior that changed his life. Outside of his faith and family, his main passion was golf, which he played well into his 95th year. He also loved OU football (indoctrinating as many family members as he could), and Thunder basketball. His zest for life and determination to care for himself physically, mentally and spiritually - and live life to the fullest - was an inspiration to everyone in his family, and many others around him.
Frank’s beloved wife, Joanne, preceded him in death on April 14, 2010. Frank is survived by son, David Loveless and wife Caron, daughter Cathy Clay and husband Jack, six grandsons: Josh Loveless and wife Rebecca, Jon Loveless and wife Lauren, Joe Loveless and wife Catie, Micah Kelsay, Justice Kelsay, and Austin Kelsay and wife Jana. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren that he adored and many extended family members.
Services to be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Crossings Community Church Chapel, 14600 Portland Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73134, with burial to follow to Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
