

Mary Elizabeth (Land) Duncan- Gracious, faithful and dedicated Christian, ever focused on the eternal-goal promised in Christ, always and ever a Christian model of salt, light and service to all, passed this life October 16, 2011. Elizabeth was born August 4, 1917 in Montgomery, LA to Joseph Clinton and Annie Ellen (Stothart)Land, married April 1, 1939 to John Earl Duncan they lived in Louisiana and Texas before moving to Oklahoma in 1965. She was a Church of Christ member at Polytechnic in Fort Worth, Texas, Putnam City, Memorial Road, Edmond, Oklahoma and Tealridge Retirement congregation. She enjoyed family, Bible study, sewing, southern cooking, reading and shopping with grandkids. Survived by children, Lynda C. Reed and Ronald E. Duncan; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, John Earl Duncan; son, David L. Duncan; brothers, James C. Land, Carl Jackson Land, Benton H. Land and sister Lou Belle Land. Services for Elizabeth will be 2:00pm, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Baggerley Funeral Home with a brief graveside following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
