Dee Ann Wallar, loving daughter, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023 at the age of 66. She was born on November 20, 1956 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Donald and Dorothy Wallar. She graduated from Germantown High School in Germantown, Tennessee and later moved to be with the family in Edmond, Oklahoma where she attended and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma (Central State University) with a bachelor’s degree in education.
Dee, a life-long teacher and coach, began her 38-year professional career at Edmond Memorial High School and later moved to Edmond North High School. She taught computers and accounting, was a cheerleading coach, assistant wrestling coach and the girls and boys tennis coach.
Dee had many interests and talents. She was an avid sports enthusiast and loved coaching, watching and attending sports events. She enjoyed attending Broadway shows. She enjoyed cooking and grilling outdoors, especially for family and friends, always trying new recipes or making others her own. She was excellent at sewing and very crafty and artsy. Her biggest interests though were spending time with her family, especially her nieces, great nieces and nephews and helping her students to succeed and be the best they could be in life.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents. She is also preceded in death by many aunts and uncles and a cousin. She is survived by her brother, Donald Wallar (Ja) and his wife Charlinda (Charlie) of Edmond, Oklahoma and her sister, Debbie Brown and her husband Robert of Amber, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her nieces Megan McNaught and her husband Stephan, Madison Wallar and her partner Kyle Coplen, Morgan Wallar and her fiancée Morgan Larson, Makayla Wallar, Amber Little and her husband Jamey, and April Brown, along with her great nephews and nieces: Rhodes McNaught, Sully Wallar, Eisley Wallar, Zavey Wallar, Lovely Wallar, Avery Davenport, Addison Little, Ashlynn and Brylinn Davenport. She is also survived by her aunt, Sue Logan and many cousins. She is also survived by someone very special to her whom she loved dearly and thought of as son, Teyon Ware and his wife, Shea and their two boys Amari and Avantae.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Senior Village of Blanchard, OK and Good Shepherd Hospice for the extraordinary care they provided our sister during her stay at the facility and during her last days with us.

A visitation for Dee will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 11, 2023, 10:00 AM at Baggerley Funeral Home.
