Colleen Marie Willoughby

Colleen Marie Willoughby went to be with the Lord, August 31, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 9, 1953 to Leo and Kathleen Herrington in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of five sisters.

Colleen could often be found reading books, playing games, and in her younger days dancing. She was married for eight years to Scott Russell with whom she had two children. She later found the love of her life, Gerald, and they were lucky to spend 31 wonderful years together. She loved traveling with her husband and looked forward to her yearly sister trips. Colleen thoroughly enjoyed showering her grandchildren with Christmas gifts. It was not unusual to barely be able to see the bottom half of the tree, as it was surrounded by presents. She spent 27 years working for Southwestern Bell/AT&T in Oklahoma City before retiring, and later as a bookkeeper for a couple of small businesses.

Colleen was preceded in death by her son, Michael James Russell; mother, Kathleen Herrington; father, Leo Herrington; and grandson, Colin Willoughby. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Willoughby of Edmond, OK; daughter, Rebekah and husband Scott Lindholm of Edmond, OK; bonus sons, Steve Willoughby and wife Romona of Richmond, VA, and James Willoughby and wife Melanie of El Reno, OK; grandchildren: Tyler Willoughby, Ashley Willoughby, Brycen Lindholm, Camdyn Willoughby, and Heaven Willoughby; sisters: Linda Jones, Lorna Jacobs, Phyllis Hartman, and Barbara Wade; along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

All are invited to Baggerley Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 7, for a breakfast reception at 9am, followed by a celebration of Colleen's life at 10am.
