Christopher Scott Baker of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away on November 24, 2024 at the age of 52. Chris was born to William Robert Baker and Theresa Marie McAndrew on December 19, 1971, in Burlington, Iowa.
Christopher was raised in Moberly, Missouri and moved to Edmond in Elementary School where he resided until moving to Yukon in 2014. After graduating from Edmond Memorial High School, he started his business career at Globe Life on June 13, 1990. Starting in the letter shop, he worked his way up to become the Senior Director of Operations for the OKC and Waco Facilities in 2017. Before his passing, Chris celebrated his 34th year at Globe Life, establishing a long-serving career with them.
Chris loved many things in life like Rock and Country music, Kiss, winning at the casino, “Sippin & Dippin,” and watching Mizzou football and basketball. Most of all, he loved his son, family, and friends. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, including his family and bring out the best in them. He was not only his son’s biggest cheerleader, but his most valued teacher and listener. Chris always said his son, Jared was his biggest accomplishment.
Christopher is preceded in death by his parents William Robert Baker and Theresa Marie McAndrew. He is survived by his son Jared Baker and fiancé Kaitlyn of Celina, Texas, his brother Troy Baker and wife Diane of Edmond, Oklahoma, and his sister Kelly Gatewood and husband Brian of Yukon, Oklahoma. He is also survived by four nieces Tenley, Daltyn, Bristol, and Lucy, and two nephews Kasen and Ender.
Christopher will be deeply missed, but he will always be remembered for not only his strong work ethic, discipline, determination and commitment, but his unconditional love for his family and friends.
