Vernon was born March 22, 1935 in Carney, Oklahoma.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Earnestine Hatchel; baby sister, Peggy Sue; brothers, Don and Frank Hatchel; and granddaughter, Hanna Moore. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joann Hatchel; son, Kenneth Hatchel; daughter, Kathy Moore; brothers, Sandy and Earnie Hatchel; sister, Bonnie Kennemer; and too many grand- and great-grandchildren to list.
Vernon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
