Betty Lausen passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on March 26, 1931. She married her high school sweetheart Duane, and they raised three kids, Ted, Malinda, and Craig.
Betty had many passions, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at OU Medical Center for thirty-seven years, loved garage sales, teaching line dancing at the senior centers, volleyball, playing a mean bridge game, and traveling the world. She loved watching Dane, her grandson, play soccer until she could no longer get her walker over the rough fields.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Duane, grandson Aaron Wagoner, brothers Gene, Donnie and sister Louise
She is survived by her son Ted and wife Vickie of Guthrie, Oklahoma, daughter Malinda of Edmond, Oklahoma, and son Craig of Edmond, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Dane and wife Sarah Lausen, Nanci White and Dennis, and Jamey Lausen, great-grandchildren Cobi, Cooper, Connor, and Luke. Brother Mike and wife Janet Kelly, sister Joanne Kelly, and sister-in-law Judy Kelly of Bella Visita, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers donations in Betty’s name can be made to the Edmond OU Medical Center Auxiliary Department.
